Watching the tide @ Trinidad The last piece on the CD is inspired by the musical stylings of Ottmar Liebert . I truly enjoy all of Ottmar’s CD’s and wanted to create my own piece of music that would be me while still paying homage to Ottmar!! I hope you like it!! This song is also connected to that trip we took in 2003. We stopped at a small town on californias northern coastline- the town is named “Trinidad” (Trinidad / California) We watched the tide on the beach and had a great dinner at this little restaurant located right on the dock overlooking the ocean!! We have a beautiful family photo of my wife, I and our children on that beach and this song carries all those memories as well!! My father loves the ocean and although I did not have room to add all of this on my CD – I wish to dedicate this song to my father!! This is the last tune on the CD so I also gave some thought to having this nice floating ending with the nylon string guitar and the outer space electric guitar in the background with the sound of ocean surf being the last thing we hear before saying good bye for now!! |
